Dominican Film filmed totally San Jose de Ocoa, "Hermaphrodite" , is nominated for best film of the year, best actress (Marilu Acosta) and best director (Albert Xavier) in the Casandra Awards. In this production, which has received some international awards 11 there ocoeños secondary roles as Deyanira Santana, Francelys Tejeda, Alberto Brea and Francisco Peña Suazo (Caamaño) plus 95% extras.
